We bought this tv because my husband has bad eyesight and we needed a larger sharper pictured tv. This Toshiba certainly does the trick. The sound and picture quality is great especially on HD channels. It was relatively easy to set up (I am a technophobe) but even I could manage it. The only minor complaint I would make is that it seems to take a long time for the picture to arrive when the tv is first switched on. At first we thought the tv wasn’t working, but you have to be patient with it. However, the wait is well worth while and for the price we paid I think we have a great tv which fulfils all our requirements.

I already had a 40 inch samsung LCD TV from amazon. It was a great model but I wanted something bigger and so I sold it.

I ordered an lg 50 inch plasma 1080p. There were a few faults with this model and it has been returned. Image quality was poor when reading web pages etc…I visited currys and the like in order to see the models working.

It got to the stage I was sick and tired of looking at TV’s and then I saw the Toshiba Regza playing toy story in full HD in PC world. I was amazed at the quality and vibrancy of the image. I asked the guy the price of the model expecting some near a £1000 and he said it was only £420.

I knew I had found my TV and it arrived yesterday. This is a sunny day today in a bright room and the picture is just fabulous. I am very fussy about image quality being a photographer and this TV is just a puzzle. How can the image quality be so good on such a value tv? It makes the sony bravias and LED Tv’s look like poor efforts in my opinion.

Just get this TV – you will not regret it and it pulls every inch of detail from an image. It breathes new life into photographs that look ordinary on other screens and brings out details you didn’t know were there. No dead pixels unlike the LG plasma and Acer screens.

My only advice would be to turn off the advanced luma control and choose the “user” setting. Turn the active backlight off and keep the backlight at around 70. What else can I say? Toshiba you have made a superb screen that makes screens above 40 inches seem pointless.

I bought this tv elsewhere and paid a lot more for it. The picture is amazing. It is loaded with extra menu features. You can even customise the colours. This tv is the perfect size for viewing movies on. It has a clear sharp picture. For this price you can’t go wrong. It’s also very easy to install. I have sky and all I did was connect my hdmi lead. It has 3 hdmi sockets which is just the right amount. I also have a home theatre system so sound is great. This tv also has surround sound. For this price this LCD tv is a no brainer!!!

The television arrived in good order although it took two attempts to deliver. It was easy to install and to set up to our liking.
