I’ve tried everything to get these disks working with my Pioneer DVR-109. The latest firmware 1.58 (at time of writing) didn’t help either. My drive works fine with standard Verbatim CDRs which have always been good in the past and the drive will burn some cheap Ridisc DVDs also, so it does work okay.

Verbatim DVDs bought at Amazon for a very fair price were delivered timeously. Amazon are a very good company.

After burning using moviemaker the first 2 discs were good but will only play in the lite-on or matsui DVD players not the Ingersoll. The 3rd disc then failed at 98% completed so tried again, this time it did complete after taking a much longer time than i would usually expect, this disc then refused to play in all 3 DVD players; lite-on, ingersoll, matsui. After reading other positive reviews on here i thought i’d give the -R discs a try as they were slightly cheaper and more readily available.

So first impressions aren’t encouraging but i’ll keep trying and if problems continue i’ll go back to +R discs as the last spindle of 25 was 100% succesful and plays in all 3 of my DVD players. Choose wisely people!!

Simple one of the best disks on the market. I have burnt over 500 of these and only a couple of costers.
