I searched for a good quality component cable and realised (from reading reviews) that you don’t get the one pictured above. Especially at 3.99!
Do yourself a favour and get the wii component cable for 9.99 from hdcable-co-uk. i did not regret it, perfect quality, thick cables, oxygen free coper and gold plated, and is the one in the picture!

I purchased this from Digizo. If you are expecting to get what is pictured in nice retail packaging then you will be disappointed, it is not in retail packaging so don’t buy it as a gift. Mine came wrapped in a cheap, grey plastic bag with no protection at all. If you just want value for money, decent quality cable for a low price then this will probably suit you as long as it doesn’t get damaged in transit through poor packaging. It works but it shouldn’t be advertised with a picture that is different to what you receive.

I have a small LCD HDTV, and the first thing i noticed when plugging in the wii via scart is that the quality of the picture was terrible. I was saddened moreso when i discovered that the wii has minimal HD output.
I bought this cable in hope to get a vastly improved picture quality, and while it admittedly improved the sharpness overall, it isn’t enough to say it’s a formiddable jump.
I’d highly recommend this cable for anybody with an HDTV, but do not expect a massive overhaul of the picture quality. More often than not it simply highlights the sharp edges and bad textures in games like zelda, which were made for a smaller resolution (gamecube port).
If you still have a CRT/Big back TV lying around, i’d suggest you plugged that in. You won’t get better quality from anything else!

This product does improve the image on screen, despite my TV not being HD. I have no means of comparing it to other cables but I feel it is very good value.
