The last reviewer doesn’t know what they are talking about. I’ve used this for over a year all over the world, especially the usb connection to charge my media player. It always worked perfectly and finally i gave it to my girlfriend in Vietnam to charge her mp3 player from the usb slot. I’m about to buy a replacement. It’s just as good as the more expensive types, but shop around as you can get it cheaper than here.

I previously had to return a worldwide travel adapter made by Lindy as the fuse was loose and falling out. Although nice and compact it only let you use USB or mains, not both. This adapater is 1/3 of the price and lets you simultaneously charge a USB device and plug in to the mains. Comes complete with a little carry bag so the UK plug prongs don’t damage other things in your bag!

I didn’t expect much from this product, but am much surprised. Firstly, came packaged nicely in a box and came supplied with a neat grey drawstring pouch for safely transporting the adapter. .

The adapter itself is well designed, being dismantled into 3 main sections, dependent on what country you are using it in. Build quality is above average, and it has charged all my devices, at least using the 3-pin uk plug and usb charging interface. I’ve had bad experiences with dedicated usb chargers but this item has worked with my Samsung digital camera, mobile phone and even iPod. When charging via usb, for both the mobile and camera, the usb indicators turn on to signify charging using usb.

note: when charging the ipod, the usb light does not come on, but the ipod signifies it is charging by the battery icon turning into a lightning bolt.

I still need to test this item abroad this summer, but so far am very impressed, especially with the usb charging, which will allow me to leave at least 3 device chargers at home saving on a lot of bulk. The adapter charges two items at once too. I honestly can’t ask for more from this product.

Had this device for a while now – very good for travel to the US, charging my ipod touch and blackberry and netbook.

I tried using it to charge an ipad – it works; but after a few hours, it blew itself up (excess current draw, melted plastic, lights no longer come on). I may buy another replacement, or something ipad capable – but be careful – as ipads get more common, it will happily try to charge them, and then burnout and melt.

This is a great little adapter neat compact and brilliantly priced – saw one a friend had and had been looking for this for a while and found it here. USB charger did not work on the iPhone but that could be me

Love it
