I recently bought this to replace our existing and ancient one. I was looking for a decent camera that wasn’t too bulky or fancy and didn’t cost too much; this was just the ticket. It has the usual anti-red eye function with the added bonus of being able to take videos (still to be used), panoramic and face detection (ideal for making sure your photos are in focus!

It runs on AA batteries so it’s worthwhile investing in some rechargeable ones as it can be quite draining, however I like that it’s battery operated. Most digital cameras are re-charged through the USB port on your PC but what if you don’t have a PC handy? This camera doesn’t have that problem: just make sure you have some spare batteries and off you go! The pack even comes with 2 batteries to get you started.

I used the camera for the first time at some friends’ wedding and I was very pleased with the resulting photos: clear, no blurring and good quality. The camera itself was lightweight and easy to use, from taking the photos to deleting them. While the accompanying software and transferring the photos from camera to PC were a breeze. I particularly liked the fact that after uploading the photos to the PC they weren’t wiped from the camera’s memory card, which is what our old one did!

It would have been nice if it came with a protective case but all-in-all an excellent purchase that is good value.

I bought the camera as a Christmas present for my wife. She wanted one which was simple to use with as few buttons as possible. So far she has just set it to automatic and is very pleased with the point and shoot results. It is small enough to slip in a pocket but has the advantage of using AA batteries, so with a spare set of rechargeables, there is no worry about being powerless when out and about. For the price I paid we think it is a great little camera although you do need to buy an SD memory card as it doesn’t come with one.

I was so impressed by the one I bought for my wife I bought a second one for my daughter. As a camera for people who just want to get good pictures with a minimum of fuss – point and click – it can’t be beaten.

I got this camera for my sister, and it is great for an entry level: easy to use, attractive and great features, very good value and quality

I bought this camera it for my teenage daughter who absolutely LOVES it. It’s easy to use and comes loaded with features usually found on more expensive cameras – including face recognition, panorama, and video. On board memory is quite small so you’ll need to invest in a SD card. I would also recommend getting a case, a set of rechargeable batteries and a charger. Not as slim and ‘cool’ looking as some of the more expensive models but it feels well made and at this price who’s complaining!
