Product Description
The eyes have it – and at least in the case of this fabulous optical illusion, they may well be telling your brain something it does not want to believe – namely that a shiny shape appears to be levitating in mid air. Cripes. You’ll have onlookers genuinely astonished and amazed by it apparent magic. Only you will know the truth – the Fun Fly Stick has a clever miniature Van de Graaff Generator hidden inside it. But never fear, the Fun Fly Stick doesn’t have an electrical shock-type discharge and doesn’t produce sparks, so it’s safe (and more importantly won’t make your hair stand on end). Using the power of static charge to levitate and control foil shapes and other lightweight items, it really can make things fly. Special foil flying shapes such as butterflies, flowers, orbs and spheres are included and these can be guided through the air by the magic of the Fun Fly Stick. Now if you will excuse us, we have work to do. Anything said about us having a short attention span is most certainly not – oooooh… shiny…

This toy had been top of my wish list for a while, then eventually my dad bought it for me – This toy was not disappointing!

First of all, there is the awesome feeling of being able to get something to actually “levitate” (there are no strings!)

Second, there is also some very good educational value in the toy as it demonstrates the effects and uses of Static Electricity. As well as making the thin tinsel shapes* float, you can also use it to make peoples hair stand on end and also to make rice krispies jump about!

*Sadly, due to the fact that the shapes have to be very light to fly, they break very easily – but – you can buy refills!

Overall – a good product with plenty of educational value!

Lots of fun for older children but need to take care with it as some parts are quite delicate.
